JAIME MONFORT MIRALLES
Jaime was born in Pedreguer, Spain.
Surrounded by the films of the Marx Brothers and Monty Python, he has been a theater enthusiast since he was little.
At the age of fifteen, he discovered his great passion: clowning.
He obtained his degree in Physical and Visual Theater from Edge Hill University (Ormskirk, UK). There, he discovered contemporary dance and joined the university dance theater company Edge FWD, thanks to which he traveled performing in different cities in England and Wales.
From 2014 to 2016 he continued his training at Centre de les Arts de Circ Rogelio Rivel (Barcelona).
In 2019, he obtained his degree in Circus Arts at the Académie Fratellini (St Denis). It is here that he develops his personal research which mixes clowning and scratching (the vinyl manipulation technique used by DJs) and that he creates a euphoric and poetic clown routine.
In addition to this, Jaime is a performer in the collective clown show Homo Sapiens, directed by Caroline Obin, alias Proserpine.
